Plan It Green

Plan It Green is a local group of engineers, planners, builders, contractors, architects, and other professionals dedicated to green community planning and design.
Plan It Green's mission is to encourage the adoption of economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable practices in Humboldt County and to facilitate their implementation through education, collaborative partnerships, and technical assistance.
On January 17th, 2007, Plan It Green organized the highly successful "Building Green Communities Conference" in Eureka, CA.

Humboldt Bay Environmental Technology Hostel
This will be a first-of-its-kind environmental technology hostel to be built and operated in cooperation with Hostelling International - USA, Humboldt State University, the City of Eureka, and the Center for Environmental Economic Development.
The hostel will be designed for the study, research, and teaching of sustainable design and environmental technology. One of its objectives is to provide a replicable and adaptable model for hostels and communities throughout the world.
Thousands of visitors will experience first hand the ease and practicality of living in a beautiful, low impact, energy efficient space.
